Weekend Fun: 5.19 - 5.22

Now that it's wedding season, I'll be spending every weekend wedding-ing until November, so I'm counting on you to get out there and enjoy some summer fun for me! Here are my picks for partying this weekend:

Thursday, 5.19: Whoa, I'm so excited about this! The Turf Club is hosting the 3rd Annual Musical Chairs Championship. I have a sincere love for events that encourage adults to act like kids again, and this is one of them. Participants have been fundraising and can use their money to purchase "cheats" to help them compete. Winner gets free entry to all shows in the First Ave Mainroom, the Entry and Turf Club for the rest of 2016.

Or, if you're looking for something that is free-ninety-nine, check out Third Thursday at Mia. This month, the theme is sustainability so you can make your own household cleaners or build a bamboo bee house while you sip on a cocktail and catch some tunes from Good Night Gold Dust.

Friday, 5.20 - Sunday 5.22: My favorite brewery, Bauhaus Brew Labs, is pulling out all the stops again for Art-a-Whirl weekend with their annual event, The Liquid Zoo. Friday, their awesome haus cover band, Viva Kneivel, is playing. Saturday is an all day event with tons of music, food trucks and their delicious beer! And Sunday is their Made By Hands craft sale. If you go, say hi to one of my besties who will be there slinging her sweet jewelry. Plenty more Art-a-Whirl happenings here.

Saturday, 5.21: Have you seen those tiny houses, sort of like mailboxes, filled with free books around town? That's the Little Free Library and they're having a really cool festival in Minnehaha Park. They're raising money to build a bunch more little libraries via a Tutus-on-Wheels challenge. Show up in a tutu around 1pm to register (or pre-reg here), participate in the bike ride at 2pm. Every tutu-touting biker will increase the success of their fundraiser. Share it with your friends! The FB event is right here

Sunday, 5.22: You know the deal. Sunday is Brunchday. I went to Nightingale in Uptown last weekend and it was delissssssh! I'm thinking Red Stag this weekend. Cheers!
